Sheriff's Office: Cedar Falls Man Chokes, Threatens to Kill Another Man

Black Hawk County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man Saturday they said choked and threatened to kill another person.

Deputies responded to a disturbance around 12:55 p.m. at a residence in rural Cedar Falls. They said they were told two men had gotten into an argument over items in the house.

The argument turned physical, deputies said, with one man allegedly grabbing and choking and threatening to kill the other. Others at the house were able to separate them, deputies said. The victim did not need medical attention.

Deputies arrested Roger Allen Cone, 64, of 6317 Viking Road, and charged him with assault with intent to cause injury.
