Six on Ballot, Three Will Be Elected: Black Hawk County Supervisor's Race

With just over a month until Election Day, Cedar Falls Patch is looking at some of the local races.

There are six names on the ballot for the Black Hawk County Supervisor's race this year. Voters can only choose three.

Tom Little and John Miller, both Democrats, as well as Scott Jordan, a Republican, are up for reelection. Also vying for their seats are Democrats Linda Laylin and Republicans Leah Morrison and Ron Welper.

Why is this race important? The Board of Supervisors have final authority over the county budget, make policy decisions and administer county programs.
