The Results Are In For Best Cedar Falls Photographer Contest

After two weeks of intense voting and passionate reviews, our 2012 Readers' Choice has come to a close.

I haven't seen this level of passion in a Cedar Falls Readers' Choice contest since .

That's one thing I love about these contests - they highlight the love people have for local businesses.

In this contest, garnered 1666 votes, 42 percent of the total, just shy of 1701 votes, 43 percent of the total.

But we were also tallying reviews and comments. Biggs got 14 comments combined when both the story and their business directory listing were tallied. Lattin had seven positive reviews, as did Tim Dodd Photography.

We'd like to declare this one a tie, since the totals were so close and fluctuated so narrowly between Biggs and Lattin. But it takes extra effort to log in and leave a comment, and by our own official rules (see the PDF), that gave Biggs the edge. So we're anointing Biggs Photography the winner.

That doesn't mean the other businesses who competed aren't equally deserving. Here are what some of you had to say about our runner up, Lattin Photography:
