Three Arrested After Powder Cocaine Found in Cedar Falls Home
Cedar Falls police made the arrests this morning.
Three Cedar Falls men were arrested this morning after police searched their house and allegedly found powder cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernelia.
Cedar Falls Police partnered with the Tri-County Drug Task Force to search the home at 1902 Iowa St.
Joseph Chatman IV, 21, Kevin Jonathon Downs, 21, and Ryan David Mitchell, 24, all residents of the Iowa St. house, were arrested. Chatman and Downs also faced charges from a previous search on June 16. During that search, drugs, drug paraphernelia and six weapons were seized from the house, according to police. All three are being held at the Black Hawk County Jail.

Chatman was charged with two counts of possession of powder cocaine with intent to deliver, a class C felony, and two counts of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, a class D felony. He is being held on $30,000 bond.
Downs was charged with possession of marijuana, a serious misdemeanor, delivery of a controlled substance while in the immediate possession of a firearm, a class C felony, and conspiracy to distribute marijuana while in the immediate possession of a firearm, a class D felony. His bond is $26,000.

Mitchell was charged with possession of marijuana, a serious misdemeanor. His bond was set at $1000.
A class C felony is punishable by a prison term of up to 10 years and a fine between $1,000 and $10,000. A class D felony is punishable by a prison term of up to five years and a fine between $750 and $7,500. A serious misdemeanor is punishable by up to one year in jail and a fine no greater than $1,875.
