Traer Man Charged With Burglary From Rural Cedar Falls Home

A Traer man was arrested Tuesday and charged with burglary and theft after allegedly taking a generator and several power tools from a residence north of Cedar Falls.
Black Hawk and Tama County deputies arrested Allan Charles Lofquis, 30. He was charged with second-degree theft, third-degree burglary, driving while license suspended and driving while license barred. Lofquis also had an outstanding arrest warrant in Tama County on a driving while license barred charge.
Black Hawk County deputies responded to a reported burglary in progress around 1:50 p.m. Nov. 27. Officials said while en-route, deputies were advised that the person who reported the alleged burglary was following a suspect vehicle, but lost the vehicle.

Officials said the vehicle was located and it was learned the suspect, Lofquis, had been dropped off at a residence in Traer.
Black Hawk County Sheriff's Deputies met with Tama County Deputies and arrested Lofquis.
