Two Arrested for Alleged Credit Card Fraud: Cedar Falls Police Blotter

Cedar Falls police arrested two people last week for using other people's credit cards.

Tina Marie Wyatt, 26, of Waterloo, was arrested at 8:25 a.m. Feb. 3 at the and charged with forgery: credit card use more than $500.

On Oct. 20, a woman reported her purse was stolen somewhere in Cedar Falls. Her debit and credit cards were later used at Walmart in Waterloo two times, once for $24.61 and once for $415.

Wyatt allegedly also used another credit card related to her husband's health insurance through John Deere. That card was used for about $500, also at Walmart in Waterloo.

The other, unreleated, credit card forgery arrest came the next day.

On Feb. 4, police arrested Marquavis Tray Davis, 29, of 1407 Brenton Drive. He was arrested at 1:33 p.m. at his home and charged with failure to appear, forgery: credit card use more than $500 and theft in the third degree.

The incident was reported on Nov. 28, and the frauds occured between Nov. 8 and Nov. 27. A woman told police her credit card and $100 in cash were missing from her purse shortly after Davis had been in her home. The victim said Davis told her to contact to her credit card company. When she did the company told her there were numberous charges on the card, totalling $1108.14.

Clay Michael Swanson, 20, male, of 1927 W. First St., arrested at 6:52 p.m. at 1825 Logan Ave., charged with operating while intoxicated/drugged second.

Andrew Michael Skoglund, 20, male, of 1200 23rd St., arrested at 11:15 p.m. at the 900 block of west 22nd Street, charged with consumption in public/intox.

Feb. 4:

Jamie Rae Harris, 18, female, of 2001 Campus St., Dancer 1019, arrested at 12:02 a.m. at 925 W. 22nd St., charged with consumption in public/intox.

Jeffery James Weldon, 32, male, of Waterloo, arrested at 12:34 a.m. at 19th St. and College St., charged with consumption in public/intox.

Samuel Taylor Swanberg, 23, male, of 1015 W. 13th St., arrested at 3:15 a.m. at 11th Street and College Street, charged with operating while intoxicated/drugged second.

Feb. 5:

Darian Lee Patterson, 22, male, of Waverly, arrested at 1:43 a.m. at Lone Tree Road and Highway 218, charged with operating while intoxicated/drugged first, possesion of a controlled substance - marijuana - 2 and drug paraphernalia.

Du'Varris Jeromi Coppage-Walker, 18, male, of Waterloo, arrested at 2:08 a.m. at Cedar Heights Drive and University Avenue, charged with operating while intoxicated/drugged first.

Brian David Oliger, 27, male, of Kansas City, Mo., arrested at 2:41 a.m. at Fourth Street and Tremont Street, charged with operating while intoxicated/drugged first.

Feb. 6:

Joseph Daniel Higgins, 21, male, of Waterloo, arrested at 3:49 a.m. at 14th St. and College St., charged with operating while intoxicated/drugged first.

Lisa Marie Crandall, 31, female, of 610 Iowa St., arrested at 3:52 a.m. at 12th St. and Washington St., charged with intoxication/second.

Frederick Anthony Norman, 62, male, of 4125 Spruce Hills Drive, arrested at 5:04 p.m. at 4704 University Ave., charged with operating while intoxicated/drugged first.

Feb. 7:

John Michael Guthrie, 26, male, of 708 Main St., arrested at 1:42 a.m. at First Street and Roosevelt Street, charged with operating while intoxicated/drugged first and driving with license suspended/simple misdemeanor.
