Two Cited for Selling Tobacco To Minors in Cedar Falls
The Cedar Falls Police conducted tobacco compliance checks at all licensed businesses in Cedar Falls.

Two people were cited for sale of tobacco to a minor after a compliance check Feb. 8.
The Cedar Falls Police Department, in cooperation with the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division, conducted tobacco compliance checks at all licensed businesses within Cedar Falls.Â
The checks were part of the Iowa Pledge Program, whose mission is to educate local retailers and enforce tobacco laws. A total of 30 licensed businesses were checked.

The following subjects were cited for sale of tobacco to a minor:
Jessica Wegner, 22, Music Station, 1420 W. First St.

Brooke Humpal, 22, Liquor and Tobacco Outlet, 2128 College St.
A fine for employees who sell tobacco to a minor is $100 plus $60 court costs and a surcharge of $35.
