Two Injured in Semi Accident That Blocked Highway 218 for Hours in Cedar Falls
Cedar Falls Police have identified the two victims of the crash, whom they said had serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Two women from Texas were injured in a semi rollover that blocked traffic on Highway 218 for hours on Sunday.
said Lori Pannell, 27, and April Gardner, 22, both of Whichita Falls, Texas, were in the truck, which came to rest on its top around 11 a.m. Sunday near the Highway 218-Highway 57 interchange.
Police said both suffered what appeared to be serious but non-life threatening injuries, and they were recovering in area hospitals.

The accident closed Highway 218 for about eight hours Sunday. Initial reports were that the occupants were trapped and the truck was on fire; however, it was determined there was no fire.
