Two Arrested for Unrelated Burglaries: Cedar Falls Police Blotter

The charged two men with first degree burglary in unrelated incidents over the weekend.

On Friday, Feb. 10 at 7:04 p.m. officers were dispatched to 3004 W. Fourth St. #51. Steffen Daniel Zachary Price, 25, of 5501 University Ave., allegedly entered the home of a former acquaintance and began choking her. Police said the victim attempted to defend herself with a knife and eventually ran to a neighboring property with Price allegedly continuing to assault her while chasing her. The victim was treated by paramedics.

Price was arrested at 7:19 p.m. and charged with first degree burglary, a class "B" felony.

The other burglary arrest came the next morning, Feb. 11, at 9:28 a.m. Police said Damontre Tairice Burt, 20, of Waterloo, allegedly entered a former acquaintance's apartment and physically assaulted her. Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Police said witnesses at 1129 Maplewood Dr. #6 identified Burt as the suspect. As officers approached him, police said he attempted to flee. After a short foot pursuit, officers apprehended Burt, who allegedly continued to resist. He was subdued with a Taser and arrested. 

Burt was charged with assault - domestic abuse causing bodliy injury, an aggravated misdemeanor, public intoxication and interference with official acts, both simple misdeamors, and first degree burglary, a class "B" felony.

A Class “B” Felony is punishable by up to 25 years in prison.

Zachary Tyler Druger, 20, male, of Waterloo, arrested at 10:54 a.m. at the Cedar Falls Police Station, charged with assault without intent to injury.

Alison Jane Chambers, 20, female, of 2800 Hudson Road HAG 307, arrested at 4:48 p.m. at , charged with theft in the fifth degree.

Lashun Denise Brown, 19, female, of Waterloo, arrested at 7:16 p.m. at the Cedar Falls Police Station, charged with habitual offender/barred, driving with license suspended/simple misdemeanor and providing false ID information.

Feb. 10:

Debra Sue Burch, 36, female, of Dumont, arrested at 6:55 a.m. at the Cedar Falls Police Station, charged with interference/no injury.

Tammi Rae Morgan, 47, female, of Marcus, arrested at 8:40 p.m. at the Cedar Falls Police Station, charged with possesion of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and operating while intoxicated/drugged first.

Aaron Gene Davis, 19, male, of 3315 N. Union Road, arrested at 11:16 p.m. at 2124-512 W. 27th St., charged with possesion of marijuana.

Feb. 11:

Christopher Dante Roby, 20, male, of Waterloo, arrested at 1:26 a.m. at 925 W. 22nd St., charged with disorderly conduct and assault without intent to injury.

Levi Alexander Balvanz, 21, male, of Wellsburg, arrested at 2:45 a.m. at 407 Main St., charged with consumption in public/intox.

Andrew John Maiers, 27, male, of 1115 Parkway Ave., arrested at 3:25 a.m. at 1310 W. First St., charged with consumption in public/intox.

Brittany Jean Brousseau, 21, female, of 1011 W. 11th St., arrested at 3:08 p.m. at 6322 University Ave., charged with contempt of court.

Feb. 12:

Chad Robert Clark, 30, male, of 5020 Algonquin Drive, arrested at 1:54 a.m. at 15th Street and Main Street, charged with operating while intoxicated/drugged first.

Damonte Euvelle Stogner, 22, male, of Washington, arrested at 8:42 p.m. at 1013-302 Maplewood Drive, charged with theft in the fifth degree, interference/no injury and probation violation.

Jonathan Craig Elsloo, 20, male, of 2124-512 W. 27th St., arrested at 10:32 p.m. at same location, charged with drug paraphernalia.

Amber Joy Jungling, 26, female, of Waterloo, arrested at 10:49 p.m. at 500 Center St., chaged with operating while intoxicated/drugged first.
