The September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance is tomorrow.

The Volunteer Center of Cedar Valley will be partnering with many agencies to provide opportunities for those to provide service and remember this important day. You can participate in activities by contacting the VCCV at 272-2087 or visiting www.vccv.org for a complete listing of available opportunities.

Becky Wagner from our office and Karen Smith with the Cedar Falls Historical Society will be traveling to Davenport this Wednesday, September 12, to exhibit and showcase our community at the Travel Iowa Marketplace. This show attracts approximately 70 group tour planners from across Iowa and bordering states.

You may want to cruise by the Visitor Center and see our brand new electronic sign! It is truly a great looking sign and really spiffs up the neighborhood while highlighting some of the great events going on for locals and visitors alike.

Thank you to Gretchen and Lois with and Karen Smith with the Cedar Falls Historical Society for the workshops they provided for us at our booth during the John Deere Fall Fest. Also, thank you to Fred Hoffman and John Falk for your help showcasing Cedar Falls at our booth.
