VCCV Weekly Volunteer Opportunities ~


• Side walkers and horse leaders are needed for Horseback Riding Lessons beginning July 1 for the ASPIRE Therapeutic Riding Program. Classes are held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday each week from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Volunteers age 14 and over are needed.

• Volunteers will work with trained Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity site supervisors building homes with families in need. No construction experience is necessary. Volunteers age 18 and over are needed on July 12, 19 and 26 from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

• The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Cedar Valley needs individuals to assist with overnight campouts. Boys Session 1 is July 15-16, 22-23, and 29-30 and Girls Session 1 is July 16-17, 23-24, and 30-31. Both camps run from 4:30 p.m. until 8:30 a.m. the next day. Volunteers age 18 and over are welcome.

• The Ice House Museum in Cedar Falls needs hosts. Hosts usually volunteer for three-hour shifts one or more times a month. Shifts are available through October: Wednesdays 1:00-4:00 p.m., Saturdays 10:00 a.m-1:00 p.m., and 1:00-4:00 p.m., and Sundays 1:00-4:00 p.m. Volunteers age 18 and over are welcome.
