(Video) Cedar Falls Sailor Taylor Morris Takes First Steps Since IED Blast Took Legs

Taylor Morris continues his recovery outside Washington D.C.

Taylor Morris continues to make progress in his recovery following an improvised explosive device blast in May.

The explosion claimed both of Morris' legs below the knee and parts of both of his arms. On Saturday, friends posted video capturing the first steps Morris has taken since the injuries in Afghanistan. 

Using prosthetic legs and with a few people watching, Morris walks several feet.

To put the moment in perspective, Morris is one of only a handful of surviving quadruple amputees in the country. He was recently released from Walter Reed Medical Center outside Washington D.C., but he continues to receive treatment there.
