Wasendorf Property On Auction Block Wednesday; Here's the List of What's for Sale

Over 3000 bottles of wine, several cars, office furnishings, computers, restaurant equipment, photography equipment and the personal home furnishings of Russell Wasendorf Sr. are just a few of the items that will go to the auction block Wednesday.

Wasendorf, the founder of the now defunct Peregrine Financial Group, also known as PFG, is awaiting trial on charges he embezzled over $200 million using falsified bank records.

PFG's state-of-the-art Cedar Falls headquarters and Wasendorf's popular myVerona restaurant now stand empty, and after tomorrow, they will be even more so, as virtually everything inside, along with everything inside Wasendorf's home and other properties, goes up for sale in an attempt to recoup some of PFG's creditor's losses.

The auction is being hosted by Great American Group. Inspection of the items is available today, Dec. 4, until 4 p.m. Inspection locations are myVerona, 419 Main St., the PFG corporate offices, One Peregrine Way, and a warehouse, 5729 Westminster Drive.

The bidding location on Wed., Dec. 5, will be the corporate offices. Live bidding will begin at 10 a.m. at the office and will also be available online. The webcast auction and more information about the sale, as well as photos of many of the items for sale, are available at the auction website.

Those hoping to participate in the auction must come with a $500 deposit.
