Weather Alert: Cedar Falls

Black Hawk County is under a severe thunderstorm watch until 11 p.m. Tuesday, the National Weather Service has announced.

The alert comes with predictions of rain spreading over Eastern Iowa from the western part of the state tonight, with a slight potential for severe storms. There is a possibility of large hail and damaging winds.

Isolated thunderstorms are also possible Thursday night into Friday.

Other counties included in the thunderstorm watch area are Allamakee, Buchanan, Clayton, Fayette, Howard, Butler, Delaware, Floyd, Mitchell, Bremer, Chickasaw, Dubuque, Grundy and Winneshiek.
