Missing Margarine:

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reported a truck full of margarine, bound for the Cedar Falls Target Distribution Center was stolen, with $50,000 of sandwich spread inside. That's a lot of margarine. First the and now a margarine thief? Cedar Falls is going to get a reputation for food-related crimes.

On display until Jan. 14, the exhibit shows off the cloth and clothes used by people around the world. Fabric can have significance beyond just fashion - the exhibit's description says the cut and color of cloth, how it is worn and the decorations printed on it can all have meaning and cultural messages. Where else in the Cedar Valley can you see a Bedouin tent, a baby carrier from Borneo and a Fon cloth from West Africa all in one room?
