When Does School Start in Cedar Falls?

The first day of classes in the Community School District is less than a month away.

The official start date for the 2012-13 school year is Aug. 16.

The district website has information for 2012-13 school year registration at the elementary, junior high and high school levels.

Here is what the district has listed:

Elementary Schools

Thursday, August 2 from 2 to 6 p.m.
Friday, August 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Tuesday, August 7 from 1-4 p.m. for grades 8 and 9; and 5 to 7:30 p.m. for grade 7.

Wednesday, August 8 from 1 to 3 p.m. for returning grades 8 and 9; 5 to 7 p.m. for grade 7 and new grades 8 and 9

Thursday, August 2 from 3 to 7 p.m.
Friday, August 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
