Beginning Sunday December 23rd at 8:00 AM, the Cedar Falls Police Department will begin ticketing all vehicles in violations of the 48 hour ordinance. This is in response to the snowfall on December 19th and 20th. Owners of vehicles parked on city streets continuously for over 48 hours are asked to move their vehicles to private driveways or areas of the street which have been plowed. Vehicles receiving citations need to be moved or they will be towed at a later time.Â
Residents are also reminded to clear their abutting sidewalks of snow and ice in accordance with city ordinance. Beginning Wednesday December 26th at 8:00 AM the City will begin serving notices to residents who have not cleared the sidewalk abutting their property.Â
