Zombies Invade College Hill (Photos)

As Panthers celebrated Homecoming on College Hill Friday, a strange sight interrupted their revelry. Lurching with arms outstretched and moaning for brains, a hoard of zombies shuffled up the Hill.

For a good cause, of course.

The event was Mohair Pear's Zombie March, a fundraiser for the Cedar Bend Humane Society. A few dozen men, women and children donned bloody, ripped clothes, slathered themselves with fake gore and paraded up and down the streets of the campus neighborhood. They only occasionally accosted passerby.

Walking alongside them were rescue dogs, who didn't seem to mind the copious amounts of fake blood.
