Attendees can hear about upcoming Iowa legislative priorities and share feedback directly with their representatives in an open community discussion.
   

• Depot celebrates four years back downtown (pencitycurrent.com) — Fort Madison is marking four years since Amtrak service officially returned to the historic downtown Santa Fe Depot, restoring the city as Iowa’s lone stop on the Southwest Chief route. The refurbished depot now houses Amtrak, the North Lee County Historical Society museums, and the Fort Madison Tourism Office, giving visitors a true first impression of the riverfront community’s history and pride.
   

• FMFD Auxiliary provides support, outreach (mississippivalleypublishing.com) — A new Fort Madison Fire Department Auxiliary, formed in February, is stepping up to support local firefighters with on-scene supplies, meals during long calls, and community outreach. Led by spouses and significant others of Fort Madison firefighters, the volunteer group is fundraising, planning family-friendly events, and setting long-term goals to strengthen ties between the department and residents.
