• Two Iowa National Guard soldiers killed in Syria ambush identified (wcvb.com) — Residents should know that Sgt. Edgar Brian Torres Tovar, a 25-year-old Iowa National Guard soldier from Grimes, was one of two Iowans killed in an ISIS attack in Syria. State leaders have ordered flags to half-staff and are asking Iowans to support and pray for the families and three other wounded Guard members.
