• Man arrested for attempted murder after shooting at Jeep (nwestiowa.com) — A Hartley resident was wounded in a May roadside shooting just west of town, and a Spirit Lake man is now jailed on attempted murder and assault charges after a months-long investigation. The case ties back to a workplace dispute in Sanborn, and Hartley Police were among several agencies assisting. A preliminary court hearing is set for Dec. 22 in O’Brien County.
