• DOT unveils $100 million plan to widen I-35 from Huxley to Ames (kcci.com) — Drivers in Huxley should prepare for a major, $100 million Iowa DOT project to widen I-35 between Huxley and Ames and rebuild the Highway 30 interchange. The plan adds a third lane each way, replaces aging bridges, and lowers Highway 30 to reduce bridge strikes, meaning years of construction but ultimately more capacity and safer clearances.
