1. Diwali 2012: Festival of Lights

 Where/When: Saturday, Starts at 5 p.m. at the Iowa Memorial Union

Description: Enjoy an Indian dinner catered by the Taj Mahal Restaurant and then followed up by Indian music and dance ranging from Bhangra & Bollywood to classical Indian dances

Cost: Tickets are $15 for general admission, $25 for VIP status. Order tickets here or at the IMU box office.

2. Iowa City Song Project Record Release Performance #1 The Englert

Where/When: The Englert Theatre, Friday 7:00 p.m.

Description: This year the Englert Theatre commisioned an album of 31 local artists as part of the Iowa City Song Project. This record release party will feature Pieta Brown & The Sawdust Collective, Caroline Smith & the Goodnight Sleeps, Brooks Strause & the Gory Details, Christopher the Conquered, and Chasing Shade. 3. Iowa City Song Project Record Release Performance #2 The Motley Cow

Where/When: Saturday 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The Motley Cow

Description: As above, but with different performers at a different location and brunch. Includes performances by: The Feralings and Sam Knutson / Milk & Eggs

Brunch Menu: 
Sweet breads (starter)

With a choice of main dish: 
Huevos ranchero with spicy squash and tortilla
or Penne bolognese
or Lemon pancakes with ricotta and maple

Dessert: Apple shortcake

Cost: Advance tickets ($15) are available at the Motley Cow and include the cost of brunch.

4. Iowa City Song Project Record Release Performance #3 The Mill

 Where/When: Saturday 8:00 p.m. The Mill

Description: As above, but with different performers at a different location without brunch. Includes performances by: We Shave, Emperors Club, Skye Carrasco, Lwa, and Tallgrass.

Cost: $8, Advance
$10, Day of Show
