Gary Johnson and other presidential candidates likely wish they could be on the stage tonight in Denver. Through the power of technology they'll respond in a different way.
I have to admit that I've always been interested in parties beyond Democrats and Republicans, and still think it is shame that, with few exceptions, most other party voices are excluded when the major elections roll around.
Well, while they won't be allowed to debate President Barack Obama and his challenger Mitt Romney, the alternative party candidates will be providing commentary during tonight's debate.
Iowa City may be known as a liberal place, but it also has its fair share of Libertarians (and Liberaltarians) as evidenced by the big crowds that showed up to welcome Ron Paul to campus.

For Iowa City Libertarians, Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson will be responding to the debate live on Google+ and on Twitter. Johnson is on the Iowa ballot after having to fight off a challenge from Repubican supporters to keep him off.
For those of the more liberal persuasion (as in, more liberal than the current Democratic party) Democracy Now will be holding a live response event of its own featuring Dr. Jill Stein, candidate for the Green Party and Rocky Anderson, candidate for the Justice Party.
