Iowa City Gas Prices: $3.25 Sure Beats $3.82

Gas prices across the nation dropped an average of 26.2 cents last month, according to a report from AAA.

The average price per gallon of regular unleaded in Iowa was sitting at $3.29 on Friday, although it appears regular is at about $3.40 per gallon in the Iowa City area.

That's still a significant drop from $3.82 last month.

“Gas prices towards the end of October were dropping at the fastest speeds in nearly four years,” said Avery Ash, AAA spokesperson in a press release. “If this trend continues as expected, motorists may soon be paying even less than last year to fill up their cars.”
