City Release

The Iowa City Parks and Recreation HALLOWEEN PARADE AND CARNIVAL is quickly approaching! Children of all ages are invited! The parade & carnival will be held on Friday, October 26th.

The parade will begin at the Weatherdance Fountain in downtown Iowa City (at the Ped Mall). Children and their parents or caregivers should meet, in costume, at the fountain between 6:00-6:15pm.

The parade will head east on College Street and go to the Robert A. Lee Community Recreation Center where the carnival will begin.

Children can participate in a variety of activites including Halloween themed crafts, cookie decorating, the Haunted Hallway, and lots of Halloween games! Be sure to bring your camera for photo opportunities, and a bag for all of your Halloween treats.

There is no fee and pre-registration is not required. In case of inclement weather, the parade will be cancelled, but the carnival activities will be held rain or shine inside the Recreation Center. All children should be accompanied by an adult.
