Iowa City Woman Killed By Semi in Cedar County Accident
The accident took place at 12:30 a.m. this morning according to the Iowa State Patrol.

An Iowa City woman who was standing outside of her vehicle that had rolled into opposing traffic was struck and killed by a semi truck early in Cedar County this morning, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
According to an Iowa State Patrol accident report, Shuying Guo, 58, of Iowa City, had been traveling west on Interstate 80 at when she lost control of her vehicle at the 264 milemarker and entered into the median, rolling into the east bound lane.
Guo then exited her vehicle and was standing near it when an eastbound semi driven by Jack Walker, 55, of Charleston, Ill., collided with him. Walker's semi then came to rest in the median.

Guo was transported to St. Luke's Hospital but she died of her njuries. The Iowa State Patrol is still investigating the circumstances of the accident.
