Iowa City Police: Man Accused of Lascivious Acts With 9-Year-Old Child, Threatening to 'Blackmail' Her to Do What He Wanted

An Iowa City man is accused of a serious felony lascivious act with a child after he was accused of coercing his nine-year-old female relative into touching his erect penis.

On March 15, at 100 Arthur St., Andre Stephen Poole II was babysitting his cousin's children at the family residence. Poole then allegedly called one of the nine-year-old girls into the room away from the other children where he was sitting on a couch, and told her he would "blackmail" her if she didn't do what he wanted.

Poole then allegedly took the girl's hand and made her rub his erect penis through his pants. The girl told police that he had made her touch his "private" that "felt like hard muscles."  The girl told her mother upon her arrival home and the incident was reported quickly thereafter.

Poole is now in the Johnson County Jail where he was booked on April 12. He now has bail set at $25,000 for a Class C felony charge of lascivious acts with a child.
