Iowa City Police: Man Arrested in Connection to Tuesday Afternoon Shooting
Police say an Iowa City man has been arrested after a fight that ended with a shooting this afternoon. There were injuries, but they were not life-threatening.

An Iowa City man is facing several felony charges after a fight on Lower Muscatine Road this afternoon ended with a shooting.
According to a police news release, at 1:33 p.m. today, police officers responded to a fight at 2200 Lower Muscatine Road. Once they arrived, they received reports indicating that someone had been shot. Police found a person who had non-life threatening injuries that were consistent with a gunshot, and they transported this person to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
A gun that may have been used in this incident was located at the scene.Â

With subsequent investigation, Kenny Brayans Ardon-Hernandez, 20, of Iowa City, was identified as the suspect and was arrested by Iowa City Police. According to the release, he has been charged with intimidation with a weapon, a Class C felony; possession of a firearm as a felon, a Class D felony; and carrying weapons, an aggravated misdemeanor.
A K-9 officer from the University of Iowa Police Department assisted with the investigation and search for evidence, according to the release.
