Iowa City Road Work: S. Gilbert Street to One Lane of NB Traffic from Lafayette Street to Prentiss Street
The traffic on S. Gilbert Street the next few days. One of the lanes could be closed starting Thursday, weather permitting.
A private sewer line repair could muck up traffic slightly on Gilbert Street the next few days, as city workers will need to close a northbound lane on the street to allow access.

Weather permitting, beginning on Thursday, April 11, 2013, northbound traffic on S. Gilbert Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic from Lafayette Street to Prentiss Street. This lane reduction is necessary to facilitate the repair of a private sanitary sewer service line in the area. It anticipated that normal traffic will resume by the end of the day on Saturday, April 13th.
