Kiplinger Magazine Ranks University of Iowa in Top 100 Best Values in Public Colleges for 2013 Rankings

The finance magazine has Iowa ranked as the 49th best value for an instate education.

The University of Iowa has been again named a top value for a public institute of higher education by Kiplinger Personal Finance Magazine in its 2013 rankings of 100 public institutions across the country.

Iowa was ranked #49 in the country for instate students based on a variety of criteria including cost per year, average graduation rate, admission rate and average debt after graduation. Iowa ranked #72 for value for out-of-state tuition.

Although Iowa fell from its ranking last year of #47 for instate schools, it was still the highest ranked among the three Regents Universities. Iowa State and Northern Iowa came in at #85 and #95 for instate students respectively, with lower out-of-state values as well.
