Little Hawks, Leopards, Longhorns, Roller Skaters and More: City High Homecoming Parade (Photos)
The annual City High homecoming parade was held on Thursday evening on the east side of Iowa City.
City High band members, cheerleaders, football players, alumni, and lots of kids who some day will fall into one of those categories marched through Iowa City's east side on Thursday evening.
It was the annual homecoming parade for the local high school. The east side elementary schools also join in. Kids young and old showed their school spirit.
The parade started at Mercer Park and followed the route down First Avenue, past Hy-Vee and Shakespeare's before ending at Hoover Elementary. The participants were treated to Jonagold apples from Wilson's Orchard and popcorn with candy corn.
