Local Jeweler Offers Free Hunting Rifle with Wedding Ring Purchase

The Gazette reports that a North Liberty jeweler, Jewelry By Harold, is offering a voucher for a free Remington 870 hunting rifle with a purchase of a wedding ring costing $2,000 or more purchased from the store before Oct. 31.

Harold van Beek, the store's owner, said he got the idea after seeing a similar promotion in Georgia.

“Hunting season is coming up. I thought this is cool, so let’s do something for the boy who doesn’t like to hunt for diamonds, but likes to hunt for deer,” he said.

The voucher is redeemable at Fin and Feather in Iowa City.
