New Pioneer Co-Op Donating Portion of Proceeds this Weekend to Local Nonprofits

These nonprofits are focused on helping the hungry in Johnson County.

Press Release

This weekend is all about stocking up, but how can you make your pre-Thanksgiving shop go further?

Again this year, New Pi is donating 10% of Thanksgiving weekend sales (the highest sales weekend of the year) to food and hunger-fighting organizations in Johnson County including the Crisis Center, Coralville Food Pantry, Elder Services, Free Lunch Program, North Liberty Community Pantry, Shelter House, and Table to Table – hopefully over $15,000. The amount we can give, of course, depends on shopper support!

This year, set a gorgeous table for your guests with wholesome, local, and organic ingredients, and help out the local community at the same time. Not only will your holiday table shine, but it’ll help set more full plates around our community table. Even if you aren't in charge of cooking the feast, stop by and grab a sandwich, cookie, or loaf of bread and know that you're helping make someone's holiday a little bit better.

The cooperative approach makes us stronger – together – and we can also be more generous together. Stock up and help out this weekend with New Pi!
