Pulkrabek said he could not elaborate on who was involved in the shooting, North Liberty Mayor Tom Salm said he believes two officers were injured.

At roughly 6:00 p.m.officers from several different area law enforcement departments responded to provided backup where the shooting had been reported. This later resulted in a standoff that was resolved a few hours later.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation said that two police officers were shot, leading to the standoff. The officers' injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The D.C.I. said that this is preliminary information and it could change as more details are gathered by law enforcement.
The standoff appeared to come to an end at about 8:30 p.m., although the circumstances are not known at this time.
