Road Work: Scott Boulevard to be Closed Near Muscatine Avenue Intersection this Weekend

The Iowa City Streets Department is taking advantage of the time it has left to get some road work done.

According to a city release, weather permitting, Scott Boulevard will be closed immediately south of its intersection with Muscatine Avenue beginning at 6:00 pm on this Friday, November 16 in order to allow water main work in the area.

A detour route will be provided and will utilize Scott Boulevard, Highway 6, First Avenue and Muscatine Avenue. It is anticipated Scott Boulevard will reopen to traffic by the following Monday morning.
