Students Arrested in Regina Bomb Threat Case

Two boys who attend the school have been arrested in the case, and a third arrest is possible.

Iowa City police have filed charges against brothers who attend Regina Catholic Education Center for two bomb threats made towards the school this year.

The most recent bomb threat was made around noon on Sept. 19, when a caller said he wanted money and the school needed to be evacuated within 20 minutes.

Police say the boys are also responsible for a bomb threat made towards the school at 2150 Rochester Ave. on Aug. 20. Both threats turned out to be bogus, but lead to evacuations, extensive searches of the premises and the cancellation of classes.
