A "Tot Monster Mash" Wednesday Morning at Scanlon Gym

The Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department is putting on an event for the little ones among us who want to celebrate Halloween.

Designed for toddler's below the age of six and their parents, the Tot Monster Mash is a free event being held at the Scanlon Gym in Iowa City tomorrow (Halloween Wednesday) morning from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Paula Griffin, with the parks department, said the idea of the event is to give younger children the chance to experience Halloween with their parents. Griffin said different activity stations will be set up in the gym including fortune tellers, crafts, tot time toys, inflatables, carnival games, and popcorn.

In addition, the first 100 toddlers who show up in costumes will receive a free treat bag.
