UISG to Host Presidential Debate Watch Sponsored by Iowa City Patch Tuesday Night

Free shirt, free food, and a good old fashion debate await you at the Bijou Tuesday night. Show up and enjoy!

Iowa City Patch is pleased to announce that we will be sponsoring a debate watch party hosted by the University of Iowa Student Government (UISG) Tuesday night.

The debate watch will take place on Tuesday, October 16 at 7:30 pm in the Bijou Theatre located in the Iowa Memorial Union. The event is free and open to all students.

Tuesday's debate is the second of three Presidential Debates hosted by the Commissionon Presidential Debate. The debate is a town meeting format moderated by CNN's Chief Political Correspondent and Anchor of CNN's State of Union, Candy Crowley, on the campus of Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York.

UISG is co-hosting the debate watch on the University of Iowa Campus with Iowa City Patch. Doors open at 7:00 pm, with the debate watch program beginning at 7:30 pm, and the debate beginning at 8:00 pm. All attendees will receive a free "Voting is Sexy" shirt, free food, and free Patch swag if they are so inclined. Please note seating in the Bijou is limited and it will be first come, first serve.

The event also will bring together members from both the University of Iowa College Republicans and College Democrats to make it a true bipartisan debate watch party. Iowa City Patch will also be in attendance.
