University of Iowa Senior Opens Eyes After Being In Medically-Induced Coma

Here is an update on Nicole Ruffolo, a University of Iowa senior who was badly injured in an accident at Purdue University. A Fundly webpage has been set up to help with her medical expenses.

Good news from the fundraising page of University of Iowa senior Nicole Ruffolo:

Hello everyone! We just got great news! Nicole opened her eyes last night as they were weening her off her medications. She was told that she was in an accident and she was mad! (typical Nicole) She squeezed the doctor's hand and was responsive. They are keeping her sedated for a few more days, but everything is looking up!! What a great day!!

That fundraising page, incidentally has already raised over $7,000 toward a $10,000 goal to help Ruffolo with her medical expenses. You can donate or spread the word by clicking the link above.
