The City of Iowa City is working to remove debris and garbage from Ralston Creek and its banks this Sunday.

City Release.

Volunteers are being called upon to help with another creek clean-up this Sunday, October 28, from noon to 3 p.m. The City of Iowa City Stormwater Division will coordinate the clean-up to remove woody debris and garbage from Ralston Creek and its banks. Volunteers should meet at 808 6th Avenue (at the corner of 6th Avenue and F Street) at noon.

Participants are required to wear long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and closed-toe shoes or boots, and should also expect to get wet and muddy as part of the clean-up efforts. The City will provide gloves and any tools required for the job. Volunteers under age 18 will need to have a liability waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
