What's Open and What's Closed on Veterans Day in Iowa City
The City of Iowa City has released its schedule for what is opened and closed on Veteran's Day, November 12th.

City administrative offices at City Hall and in other City facilities will be closed on Monday, Nov. 12 in observance of Veteran's Day, which is on Nov. 11. The Animal Care and Adoption Center, Landfill and Recycling Center, and Senior Center will also be closed. Other departmental schedules or announcements for Veterans Day are as follows:
AIRPORT: The Airport administration office will be closed, but Jet Air will be open.
LIBRARY: The Public Library will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
PARKING: Normal operations will be in effect.
PARKS AND RECREATION: The Robert A. Lee Recreation Center, Scanlon Gym, and pools at both facilities will be open regular hours, but offices will be closed.
POLICE: Patrol personnel and station masters will be on duty.
REFUSE, RECYCLING, AND YARD WASTE: Curbside collection will not take place on Monday. Residents on the Monday route should have materials at the curb by 7 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13. Residents on the Tuesday through Friday routes should have materials at the curb by 7 a.m. on their regular collection day. The City cannot determine exactly when items will be collected.
SENIOR CENTER: Because the Senior Center will be closed on Veteran's Day, no senior meals will be served or delivered.
TRANSIT: Normal operations will be in effect.
WATER: The Water Division office will be closed. For a water emergency, call their 24-hour emergency number at 319.356.5166.
City offices and operations will return to normal schedules on Tuesday, November 13.
