What Was Your Favorite Brew at Northside Oktoberfest? (Photos)

Hundreds turned out for the second edition of the Northside Oktoberfest featuring the 17th annual Iowa City Brewfest with 500-plus beers from around Iowa and the country, and a soda fest for kids.

Help me experience the Iowa City brew fest vicariously through you.

I managed to make it over to the Northside Oktoberfest on Saturday and poked around for about 20 minutes to get a few pictures of what was happening. But, I was with my 11-year-old and it felt wrong to enter the beer garden where brew fest was going to down my share of samples while my son waited outside.

So, regrettably, I missed the brew fest.

But, I am interested to hear about the beers. Which beers stood out? What was the best? What needs to go on my beers to try list? Leave me some homework in the comment section.

According to the website, there was more than 500 beers, including many from Iowa, such as Peace Tree, Toppling Goliath and Madhouse , but also California's Green Flash, Colorado's New Belgium and Massachusetts' Boston Beer Co., among others.
