An Ankeny Evening With The Arts
Friday, May 1, 2015: The art exhibit featuring Larry Zach opens at 6:30pm and the Ankeny Community Chorus Concert is at 7:30pm.
Please join us for this annual collaboration between the Ankeny Art Center, Ankeny Community Chorus, Ankeny Community Band and Ankeny Community Theater. This year we feature a performance by the Ankeny Chorus and a fine art exhibit hosted by the Ankeny Art Center for nationally renowned Ankeny wildlife artist Larry Zach! Don’t miss this wonderful event that provides art for the community, from our community.
No one captures stunningly accurate wildlife scenes like Larry Zach! This partial image called “Evening Snowfall - Decorah Eagles” is based on a pair of eagles that built a nest and have been raising their young across from the state trout hatchery near Decorah, Iowa. This beautiful scene captures the pair sitting in the tree near their nest during an evening snowfall in late winter.
