Gerd Clabaugh and David Lindeman will seek re-election to their open seats on the Johnston City Council in the upcoming November election.

Gerd Clabaugh and David Lindeman will seek re-election to their open seats on the Johnston City Council in the upcoming November election.
Clabaugh, a deputy director at the Iowa Department of Public Health, has been on the council since 2006.Â
Lindeman, a senior consultant for defense contractor Booz Allen Hamilton at the Des Moines Air National Guard Base, has served since 2010.

The Des Moines Register reported on Clabaugh and Lindeman's goals if re-elected:
"In an email announcing his candidacy, Clabaugh outlined his four top priorities for what would be his third term on the council, including developing infrastructure that could increase residential and economic development and continuing to develop the city’s parks.

"In an email announcement this week, Lindeman cited public improvements to neighborhoods east of Merle Hay Road as a primary reason for him to seek another term on the council."
