Johnston Residents Can Help Families At Thanksgiving
More than 400 families will receive Thanksgiving meals from the Johnston Partnership and donations are being accepted to buy food.
JOHNSTON, IA — In an effort to provide a Thanksgiving meal to every family it serves, the Johnston Partnership is accepting donations to buy the components that will provide a turkey dinner with all the trimmings.
The Partnership, which provides emergency food supplies to families in need on a regular basis and clothing when it is needed, expects to help 400 families with a holiday meal. Donations of all amounts will be appreciated.
Here's what different amounts will buy for a family:

- $40 will buy a complete Thanksgiving meal
- $15 will buy a turkey or turkey breast
- $7 will buy a side dish
