This Week's Local Forecast

The National Weather Service expects a cold and blustery week in central Iowa.

The week’s forecast for the metro area looks like this:

• Monday - mostly cloudy with a high around 30 and a low under 10. Overnight wind chill below zero.
• Tuesday - high in the teens with a wind chill around zero. Overnight low around zero, wind chill nearing -20.

• Wednesday - mostly sunny with a high in single digits and a low below zero.
• Thursday - high in the mid teens and a low in single digits.
• Friday - High in the upper 20s, low in the upper teens.
