The MPL Tech Station was first introduced in the days following the Aug. 2020 derecho as a reliable source of internet access and resource for those navigating the FEMA reimbursement process. After evaluating recent patron visits and in anticipation of new Marion Public Library building nearing completion, library leaders determined that closing the Tech Station was the most logical option.
To continue to meet the community's technology needs, the library will provide four computers for public use at the Uptown Library (1064 7th Avenue) starting the week of Jan. 17, 2022.
