Don't Pack Away the Shorts and Skirts Quite Yet: This Week in Marion Weather

We're officially into fall this week, but that doesn't mean cold rain and dead leaves. 

At least not yet.

According to the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities forecast, this week in Marion should feature mild, sunny weather with temperatures venturing into the low 80s by Thursday and Friday before curving back down into the 70s by the end of the week with a chance for rain.

Here's their prediction for this week:

• Today Sunny, with a high near 74. Southeast wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
• Tonight Mostly clear, with a low around 48. Southeast wind around 10 mph.
• Tuesday Mostly sunny, with a high near 73. Southeast wind around 10 mph.
• Tuesday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 49.
• Wednesday Sunny, with a high near 76.
• Wednesday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 52.
• Thursday Sunny, with a high near 79.
• Thursday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 59.
• Friday Sunny, with a high near 81.
• Friday Night A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 60.
• Saturday A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 73.
• Saturday Night A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50.
• Sunday Mostly sunny, with a high near 70.

The Weather Underground 10-day forecast has high temperatures dropping below the 70s early next week, before rebounding again into the 70s.
