Marion City Council Member Explains Why He Is Seeking Re-Election

Craig Adamson said he will ask voters to elect him to a third term on City Council in November.

Adamson, a self-employed financial planner, holds an at-large seat. He said his main concerns as a city council member are encouraging commercial growth and meeting Marion's growing population with thought out and consistent decisions about development projects.

"We've got places for businesses to be," Adamson said. "So, I feel like part of our job as a city council is to make the city a business-friendly place to come, and bring your employees and have their families live and work and go to school and have fun."

Adamson, who has three young children, has lived in Marion since 1998. He owns Adamson Financial Planning.
